Advertising Policy
Transparency about how StyleSnoop is funded.
Google AdSense
StyleSnoop displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and other third-party advertising networks. These ads help us keep the content free and independent.
No Direct Transactions
We do not sell products, accept payments, or fulfil orders on this website. Buttons such as "Read" or "Save" are for editorial navigation only and do not initiate any commercial transaction with StyleSnoop.
Affiliate Links
Some review articles may contain affiliate links to retailers. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase from that retailer, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence our editorial verdicts.
Editorial Independence
Advertisers cannot purchase favorable reviews, ratings, or placement within editorial content. Our reviewers are not told which brands advertise on the site at the time they write a review.
Compliance
We follow Google Publisher Policies and the AdSense Program Policies, including prohibitions on encouraging accidental clicks, deceptive ad placement, and content restrictions.
Editorial Standards
StyleSnoop is committed to producing fashion reviews that readers can trust. The following standards govern every piece of content we publish:
- Buying the product. Every garment we review is purchased by our team at retail price. We do not accept PR samples, gifted items, or "media rates" — full stop.
- Real-wear testing. No review is published after a single try-on. Standard reviews track 4 weeks of daily wear; long-term reviews run 6–12 months.
- Multiple testers. Where fit and silhouette are key (jeans, shirts, ethnic wear), at least two reviewers across different body types try the item before we settle on a verdict.
- Independent rating. Each garment is scored on four dimensions — Fit, Fabric, Finish, Value — and the star rating is the unweighted average, rounded honestly.
- Corrections. When we get something wrong, we update the article, add a "Corrected on [date]" note at the top, and explain what changed. We never silently rewrite published reviews.
- Re-testing. When a brand changes its fabric supplier, fit block, or factory, we re-test the affected pieces and refresh the verdict.
- No paid reviews. No brand can pay for placement, a higher star rating, or a softer angle. Editorial decisions are made before our ads team sees the calendar.
Affiliate Disclosure
In addition to display advertising, StyleSnoop participates in affiliate programs run by some of the retailers we review. We want you to know exactly what that means:
- How it works. When a review article contains a link marked "Shop" or similar, that link may be an affiliate link. If you click it and make a purchase from the linked retailer, StyleSnoop may earn a small commission. The price you pay is unchanged.
- Why we do it. Affiliate commissions, alongside display advertising, help fund the cost of buying every garment we review at full retail price.
- What it does NOT influence. The presence (or absence) of an affiliate relationship has zero influence on whether we review a brand, what we say about it, or what star rating we award.
- Programs we participate in. We may be enrolled in affiliate programs operated by major Indian and global retailers (including but not limited to Myntra, Ajio, Amazon Fashion, FabIndia, Levi's, Zara). Programs change over time.
- Clear labelling. Affiliate links are accompanied by a short disclosure (e.g. "We may earn a commission") near the link or at the top of the review.
- Your choice. You are never required to use an affiliate link. You can search for the product on the retailer's site directly and the review still applies.
