✨ Outfit inspiration & styling tips for India — looks we love, decoded ✨

Editorial Policy

How our style edits and guides are made, and the standards we hold them to. Last updated: July 11, 2026.

What StyleSnoop publishes

StyleSnoop publishes two kinds of content: Style Edits — outfit-by-outfit breakdowns of looks we love, explaining why each one works and how to wear it — and Style Guides — longer practical articles on styling formulas, buying decisions, colour pairings, and garment care, written for shoppers in India.

Everything we publish is editorial styling opinion and practical guidance. We are not a product-testing lab, we don't sell clothing, and we don't publish sponsored content.

How a piece gets made

What we will never claim

Honesty about what we are is the foundation of this site. We do not claim to have purchased, worn, laundered, or lab-tested the garments shown in our edits. When we describe a fabric or a fit, we're describing what the look shows and what general garment knowledge tells us — not a hands-on trial. Care advice we give (like "hand-wash satin cold") is standard best practice for that fabric type, not a wear-test result.

Style Scores and prices

The Style Score (★ rating) on each edit is our subjective editorial opinion of how strong and wearable we find the look — nothing more. It is not a quality measurement, a fit trial, or a value-for-money verdict. Prices shown are approximate guidance for the kind of garment pictured, meant to help you set a budget. Actual prices vary by retailer, size, and season; always check the store before buying.

Independence and advertising

StyleSnoop is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Ads are placed by Google's systems, not by us, and advertisers have no influence over what we feature or how we score it. We have no affiliate relationships and earn nothing when you buy something we've featured. Details are on our Advertising Policy page.

Corrections

If we get something wrong — a fabric misidentified, a styling claim that doesn't hold up, a price band that's badly off — we want to fix it. Send corrections through our contact page or email info@stylesnoop.in. We review every report, correct the page where warranted, and update its "Updated" date.

Suggestions

Reader suggestions genuinely shape what we cover. If there's a look you'd like broken down or a styling question you'd like a guide on, tell us — the FAQ and several of our guides started as reader questions.
